THQ Bridge Guide: How To Bridge THQ from Base to Ethereum Mainnet

This guide walks you through the exact steps required to bridge THQ tokens from Ethereum Mainnet to Base, using the official Theoriq bridge. The process is straightforward, but includes two important on-chain actions: token approval and bridge execution.

1. Safety Check (Do This First)

Before interacting with any contracts or interfaces, confirm you are using official Theoriq resources only:

If there are any changes, announcements, or warnings, they will be communicated through these channels.

2. Add THQ to MetaMask (Ethereum + Base)

MetaMask does not automatically show custom tokens. You must add THQ manually on both networks.

Ethereum Mainnet — THQ Contract

Steps

  1. Open MetaMask

  2. Make sure you are on Ethereum Mainnet

  3. Go to Tokens → Import Token → Custom Token

  4. Paste the contract address

  5. Confirm and import

Base — THQ Contract

Steps

  1. Switch MetaMask to the Base network

  2. Go to Tokens → Import Token → Custom Token

  3. Paste the Base THQ contract address

  4. Confirm and import

At this point, MetaMask is ready to display balances on both chains.

3. Connect Your Wallet to the Bridge

  1. Go to: https://infinity.theoriq.ai/bridge

  2. Click Connect Wallet

  3. Approve the MetaMask signature request

Once connected, the interface will automatically detect:

  • Your wallet

  • Your THQ balance on Ethereum

  • Your destination chain (Base)

4. Initiate the Bridge (Ethereum → Base)

  1. Open the THQ Bridge section

  2. Select Ethereum → Base

  3. Enter the amount of THQ you want to bridge

  4. Click Bridge THQ

At this point, two transactions will occur.

5. Transaction 1 — Approve THQ Spending (Required)

Because THQ is an ERC-20 token, you must approve the bridge contract to spend your tokens.

  • MetaMask will prompt you with an Approval transaction

  • This sets a spending allowance (equal to or greater than the amount you’re bridging)

  • Confirm the transaction

⏳ Wait for this approval to be mined before proceeding. The second transaction will open up automatically. It may take up to 30 seconds.

6. Transaction 2 — Send the Bridge Transaction

After approval is confirmed:

  • MetaMask will automatically prompt you for the bridge transaction

  • This transaction actually moves THQ into the bridge

  • Confirm the transaction

Once submitted, your bridge is officially in flight.

7. Monitor Bridge Progress (Optional)

Theoriq uses LayerZero for cross-chain messaging.

You can monitor the status of your bridge transaction using the official LayerZero message tracker (linked from the interface). You’ll see:

  • Source chain

  • Destination chain

  • Wallet address

  • Status (submitted → delivered)

8. Verify THQ on Base

After the bridge completes:

  1. Switch MetaMask to Base

  2. Open the THQ token

  3. Confirm your updated balance

Your total THQ supply remains the same, but is now split across:

  • Ethereum (remaining balance)

  • Base (bridged balance)

If you don’t see the balance immediately, refresh MetaMask or the interface.

Common Notes & Gotchas

  • You need ETH on Ethereum to pay gas for approval and bridging

  • Cross-chain transactions may take a few minutes: patience is normal

  • Only approve the exact amount you intend to bridge

  • Never use unofficial bridge links or contracts

Final Reminder

If you encounter suspicious sites, fake tokens, or impersonation attempts, report them immediately through Theoriq’s official channels. Keeping the ecosystem safe benefits everyone.
