Last year we saw AI Agents explode in attention as first mover social agents like truth_terminal $GOAT and aixbt_agent started to deliver autonomous and valuable insights to Web3 users. This kicked off a wave of interest in AI Agents and by the end of 2024, the sector reached a valuation of over $15 billion, this is set to grow much further with forecasts from Ten Yangs Chain of Thought indicating growth to an astounding $150 billion by the end of 2025.
What has followed is the release of projects, like Luna and Virtuals (valued at over $4B) and Eliza from ai6z DAO (valued at over $2B), that have enabled the tokenization of AI Agents.
These innovations highlight the shift from personality-based and social agents to agent frameworks and utility agents. The Eliza framework became the number one trending GitHub repository globally in December and user adoption and valuation of other infrastructure projects like ARC, Griffain and Cookie has blown up as well.
